There are two types of tank level sensor, point level measurement and continuous level measurement. Point level measurement technologies include float switches, vibrating forks, capacitive sensors etc. and it can measure some specific points of level. On the other hand, continuous level technologies include radar, ultrasonic, capacitive, float-and-tape, differential pressure etc. and measure the actual level of the media and provide real time data. Level transmitters converts the height proportional into a standardized 4-20mA signal and transmit via a communication protocol to a control system.
